BROCKTON -- F. Adrian Price, 56, of Brockton for the past 28 years, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 29, at Massachusetts General Hospital from longterm complications with diabetes. 

Born in New Orleans, La., he grew up in Albuquerque, N.M., where he was one of two high school seniors who won Presidential Scholar medals and traveled to the White House for a formal ceremony with the president. 

He settled in Massachusetts, where he earned bachelor of arts and master of arts degrees from M.I.T. on scholarships. He was certified to teach math and physics, and taught a thermodynamics course at Wentworth Institute of Technology. 

He traveled extensively around the world in his career as a mechanical engineer. He was a member of American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and enjoyed automotive tinkering, reading, watching football, trivia and oldies rock and roll music. 

He was the loving father of Lindsey E. Price and beloved husband of Sharon Maguire-Price of Brockton and brother-in-law of Judith A. Maguire of West Yarmouth and Jane M. Maguire of Leominster.
